Believe it or not, our Florida Obsession began in New York. We lived on Long Island but had family in South Florida, so every break from school or work turned into a trip down south. New York was nice, until winter rolled around. The cold was manageable, right up until the infamous Blizzard of 1996 hit. We looked outside and realized the snow was taller than we were. That was the sign we needed to pack up and leave the cold behind. We drove straight toward the sunshine, and the rest is history. ☀️🌴
