First Impressions
Atmosphere & Vibe
Pizza Time Caffe is designed to look like a familiar, laid back Italian neighborhood spot. The interior features nostalgic 1980s style decor with Italian murals and marble accents, creating a “homey” neighborhood vibe. The al fresco Mediterranean style dining room is mostly unchanged since opening in 2004, besides the lit up, bar area. They also have outdoor seating for those who prefer to dine outside. The patio is uncovered, so if it’s raining out or extremely hot out, you’ll want to side inside.
In the back, you can see the pies and paninis available behind the glass, as well as the chefs making pizza. Think: New York Pizzeria. Since it’s a popular spot for locals and families, it can get quite loud in the dining room, especially on the weekends, so if you are looking for a quiet spot, opt for a table outside.
TIP: For pick up and to go orders, enter in through the single door at the back of the restaurant (near the parking lot). For sit down meals, enter around the corner through the large wooden doors in the front.
Service & Hospitality
Pizza Time Caffe is family owned and operated, with the owners on site daily. The staff on the floor and behind the counter are always friendly, and have been part of the Pizza Time family for years. Everyone is knowledgable about the menu, and are happy to recommend dishes to try. Reservations are available, but not required. However, we recommend making them if you are planning on visiting on a Friday or Saturday night.
What to Order at Pizza Time Caffe
Over the years of dining at Pizza Time Caffe, we’ve had the opportunity to taste a lot of different dishes. They offer New York style and Sicilian pizza, specialties pies, paninis and a large variety of Italian classics. No matter what you’re in the mood for, you really can’t go wrong when placing your order. For the mains, some dishes are offered in two sizes: small or regular. We recommend going for the larger, ‘regular’ portion. For a few dollars more, you get a lot more food and will likely have leftovers to take home.
They have rotating, seasonal and daily specials. Garlic bread is served at each table. It is delicious, but if you prefer plain, they’ll happily accommodate, just let your server know. Some of the standout dishes we always order are: Chicken Marsala Pizza (our FAVORITE), Chicken Scarpariello, Antipasto, Pasta Fagioli, Rigatoni Country Style, Chicken or Veal Marsala, Chicken or Veal Piccata, Chicken cutlet panini and Chicken or Eggplant Parm. If you visit on Fridays, save room for dessert so you can order the zeppoles. It’s an Italian fried donut. You’ll be glad you did.
TIP: Plan on waiting a bit for a large specialty pie, they can take up to 45 minutes to make!
